The tradition of making pottery in the region of Boleslawiec goes back hundreds of years and today, white clay is chosen carefully and baked in high temperature kilns. Pottery from Boleslawiec is also ecologicaly safe, because lead free enamel is used for decoration. Most patterns are detailed, geometrical and floral designs. During the festival you can find many booths with regional products, sculptures, and so on, as well as great deals on Polish Pottery pieces. You can also visit pottery museum, and pottery factories, where you can paint your own piece of pottery during a hands-on workshop. Before we head to the Pottery festival, we'll start your journey off with a city tour of Wroclaw's historic Old Town and Town hall, with a professional city guide. Marvel at the majestic Ksiaz Castle, dating back to the 13th century, and known as the 'Pearl of Lower Silesia'. Then make your way to Winnica Silesian for Polish wine tasting experience, sampling some of the local delicacies as you tour the vineyard grounds. You'll be able to marvel at the 17th century Church of Peace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest baroque timber church in Europe.
You'll also have the chance to explore the local markets, including the historic Hala Targowa indoor fresh food market. Join a professional local chef for a Polish cooking class to make a seasonal Polish meal, including two kinds of pierogi. Visit the Panorama Raclawicka and marvel at the 374ft (114m) long and 49ft (15m) high painting depicting the Battle of Raclawice from April 1794. Take a leisurely boat ride along the Odra River in the evening during your free time if you'd like.
The we'll head to Boleslawiec, the home of the renowned Polish Pottery, you'll take a city tour and learn about Boleslawiec's fascinating history, visit local pottery factories, and take part in a hands-on workshop with local artists. Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Tour of Wroclaw

Today we're off to explore the beautiful city of Wroclaw! We'll start with a visit to the Centennial Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's been around for over a hundred years. After admiring the architecture and pergola, we'll head to Pod Fredra restaurant at the Market Square for a delicious traditional Polish Sunday lunch. Then we'll take a city tour with a local guide to explore Wroclaw's historic Old Town and Town Hall. To celebrate the start of our Polish adventure, we'll end the night with a Welcome Dinner in the restaurant located on the banks of the Odra River. Let the fun begin!
Day 2: Ksiaz Castle, Polish Wine Tasting

Today's adventure begins bright and early as we set off to explore the captivating Lower Silesia region. Our first stop will be the majestic Ksiaz Castle, dating back to the 13th century. Known as the 'Pearl of Lower Silesia', the castle is the largest of its kind in the region and is home to many cultural and artistic events. After exploring the castle, we will make our way to Winnica Silesian for a wine tasting experience like no other. Here, you will be able to sample some local delicacies as you tour the vineyard grounds. Lastly, we will take a short drive to Swidnica, where we will marvel at the 17th century Church of Peace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest baroque timber church in Europe. After taking it all in, we'll make our way back to our hotel to enjoy the rest of the evening on our own. Join us on this enchanting journey through the Lower Silesia region!
Day 3: Hala Targowa Market, Polish Cooking Class

Today is the day to immerse yourself in the culture of Wroclaw! Start off your day by shopping at the historic Hala Targowa indoor fresh food market (stays closed on Sundays and Holidays). Then, learn how to make a traditional Polish meal with a local chef in a Polish cooking class. Afterwards, we'll visit Panorama Raclawicka and marvel at the 374ft (114m) long and 49ft (15m) high painting depicting the Battle of Raclawice from April 1794. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own. End your day with a leisurely boat ride along the Odra River and take in the stunning architecture of the city at night. We'll also have some great dinner restaurant recommendations for you.
Day 4: Polish Pottery Festival, Pottery Painting Workshop

On our fourth day in the magical Lower Silesia region, we get to take part in the Polish Pottery Festival in Boleslawiec! We'll visit some of the amazing local ceramics booths and maker's stores and start doing some shopping. It's the perfect chance to explore new designs and soak up the atmosphere. We even get to try our hand at pottery painting workshop with the help of some of the local artists. Afterwards, we'll be treated to dinner at Gospoda Kruszyna restaurant near Boleslawiec. Here, you can enjoy some of the best traditional Polish cuisine around!
Day 5: Explore Boleslawiec, Polish Pottery Factory Tour

Today we explore Boleslawiec, the home of the renowned Polish Pottery! This tradition of pottery-making has been around for hundreds of years, and we'll be able to experience it first-hand at the annual Polish Pottery Festival and touring one of the major factories! After the factory tour and a short break we'll take Boleslawiec city tour with a local guide and learn about this city's fascinating history and sites. We'll also have plenty of free time to shop for Polish Pottery at the festival's Market Square and factory stores! From decorative pieces to practical items, you'll be sure to find the perfect souvenirs to bring home for your loved ones (and don't forget to get something for yourself!). Enjoy dinner on your own and spend the evening soaking up the unique charm of Boleslawiec and the Polish Pottery Festival!
Day 6: Boleslawiec Antiques Market, Ceramics Carnival Parade

Today's the day we've been looking forward to! We set off on our sixth day of our trip to explore the Polish Pottery Festival in Boleslawiec. With visits to the Antiques Market, local ceramics factories and Ceramics Museum, as well as some shopping, we'll end the day with the spectacular "Ceramics Carnival" - a festive parade and ceremonial opening of the 30th Polish Pottery Festival! To top off the day, we'll be having our Farewell Dinner at Brunow Palace near Boleslawiec - a famous spot amongst both locals and visitors for serving delicious traditional Polish and regional cuisine. Day 7: Depart For Home

After a wonderful week of exploring the sites of Wroclaw and Boleslawiec, it's time to say goodbye. You can enjoy breakfast one last time before you head back home, or you can extend your stay and explore even more of this vibrant city and quaint town. The choice is yours!
